L4V Hook Deadlocks
L4V hook deadlocks are an upgrade to front and side van doors, as well as tailgates and doors to the cab. They function independently of the locking system and are secured using a high-security keys.
Designed specifically to combat attacks of 'peel and steal' this product has been tested independently increasing resistance by up to 300 percent. It is ideal for couriers with multiple drops or in situations where the driver is prone to overlook locking the door of their vehicle.
Hook Deadlock
A Hook Deadlock is an extra lock that can be attached to a vehicle door and works independently from the manufacturer's locking mechanism. It is operated with the use of a key and adds an additional layer of security to prevent "Peel and Steal" crimes. These locks are affordable and can make your van a less attractive target for criminals. They are not foolproof, and should be used in conjunction with other van security products such as Anti Peel brackets.
Each lock is a specific deadlock, and is designed to fit the specific make and models of the doors in your vehicle. They work by throwing a hook style bolt into a bracket that is attached to the internal bodywork of the vehicle. The bolt is snared and latches onto the bracket, which prevents it being twisted or peeled. This offers a decent level of protection against the majority of burglaries that occur on vans.
These locks are easy-to-install and can be installed on both the cab door as well as the rear load area. They also look more attractive than van locks that are fitted externally, with a neat euro-cylinder on the outside and an escutcheon around it.
In contrast to a slam lock, which is a quick release device these locks can be left in deadlock mode which makes it harder for thieves to rob your tools and goods. Deadlocks are better suited for people who do not need to open their vans very often and want an added level of security.
The most popular hook locks are those installed on the cab and rear doors. These locks are an excellent way to protect your valuables and tools from theft. They can also be used with other van security accessories such as anti-peel brackets. We provide a nationwide fitting service and our fitters are all fully trained and insured. Slam Lock
A slam lock is a cutting-edge van security system that ensures the doors of your vehicle are locked immediately after they close. The slam lock deters van thieves who have a plethora of opportunities to take advantage of any mistakes made by drivers who fail to close their van doors manually in an ephemeral manner. It also serves as a deterrent to any criminals who might be looking to commit.
A commercial slam lock functions by working with your van's manufacturer's locks to automatically lock the door each time it is shut. This is a great option for couriers or multi-drop drivers who are frequently on the go and have a lot to do. It saves them from needing keys to lock their vehicle each time.
Once a slam locking device is installed, all you need to do is press the handle downwards and it will trigger the lock and slam the door shut. You can open the door using your key to ensure that your tools and cargo are safe while working. However, if you are looking for the ultimate in van security, you should consider deadlocks too. They provide a higher level of security, since they are more difficult to manipulate and require more physical effort to open.

Both types of locks have their own benefits, but which is best for you is determined by the way you plan to use your van. A slam lock is ideal for those who regularly access the rear of their vehicles, such as couriers and multi-drop drivers, and are more concerned with security of their possessions while on the go. A deadlock on the other hand, is perfect for those who are more likely to be leaving their vehicle parked overnight and need a reliable lock for peace of mind.

The LOCK TABLE command creates shared locks on all tables that are specified in the table specification. If the table is a view, the lock also creates shared locks on all base tables underlying the view table. The LOCK table command is a way of locking all tables in a specific database, a particular row, or even a specific table. If ONLY is specified after the table's name then only the table that is specified will be locked. If a row_spec> is defined only the row in the table that is denoted by the key values or position in a results table is locked.
A ROW EXCLUSIVE locks prevents concurrent data modifications from modifying or deleting rows within the table. This lock mode can be acquired by UPDATE and DELETE statements, as well as INSERT, Merge, and Vacuum statements. This lock mode is also obtained by ANALYZE and CREATE INDEX CORRECTLY statement, and certain ALTER TABLE or VIEW statements.
If a lock is set to ROW EXCLUSIVE, all updates and deletions must be completed before the owner of the lock releases the lock. This prevents a deadlock from occurring during concurrent sessions that modify the same row.
If a transaction is using the ROW EXCLUSIVE mode lock and another session tries to update the row, the initial transaction is hit with a duplicate-key error. The other session will need to wait until the current transaction has been committed or rolled back before it can obtain a ROW SHARE mode lock on the row.
The ROW SHARED locking mode is obtained by using the UPDATE, DELETE and MERGE statements. This lock mode can also be acquired by ANALYZE statements, CREATE statistis and commenting on. This lock mode protects the table from changes to the schema concurrently or VACUUM runs.
The LOCK TABLE WITH HOLD clause allows you to create an execution lock for the specific procedure for a specified amount of time. If another program attempts execute the same procedure within the same connection, an error signaled and the program is stopped until the lock has been released.
